Aaron and Kia Marie
Aaron and Kia Marie had a beautiful Ceremony at the very picturesque Church of The Assumption in Marvel, followed by a well organized reception at the Radisson Hotel in Port-Of-Spain. It was certainly a day filled with lots of good vibes, and everyone having a great time.

Can you describe the morning of your Wedding, and how it assisted you for the rest of the day? The morning of my wedding day felt surreal.  I was overcome with so many emotions.  I was nervous but at the same time excited and couldn’t wait for everything to get started.  I spent my morning getting ready with my mom and my bridesmaids. The morning of, really does set the stage for the rest of your day.   I was happy to be surrounded by so many supportive friends and family…who  helped me to relax and made me feel confident and beautiful.

How was the Ceremony? The ceremony was at the beautiful Church of Assumption in Maraval. As the bride everyone is there waiting for your arrival, all your loved ones and friends.   At first it is a bit nerve wrecking as all eyes are on you, but as soon as you start walking down and you see the groom everything is worth it and you feel a sense of peace. The ceremony itself reminds you of the real reason your doing this, not the dress, not the decorations, not the wedding cake and all of the other details you would of gotten so involved in planning, but this very moment where you and your husband become one.

How was your reception venue? My venue was at Radisson hotel.  The coordinators and decorator ( joejoedivinedesigne) really went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was what we imagined. The reception was held in the Calypso lounge on the 12th floor.  My guests were comfortably seated and there was also a balcony that they could of utilized. Having your reception at a hotel is very convenient as the hotel usually has its own pre-planned menus you can chose from as well as bars.   This also means you do not have to worry about finding caterers or someone  for you bar. Hotels also usually give you a discount on rooms for your guests. Another plus of having your reception at a hotel is the security and  safe parking.

What made you chose the Wedding Dress you wore, and how did it feel on the day? After looking for about two months, I finally found my dress.  I chose it based on how it complimented my body and how it made me feel.  Out of all the dresses I tried on this was the first dress that made me actually feel like a bride. I also based my decision on the reactions of my mom and my maid of honor who attended every dress fitting with me.  I trusted their opinions.

Tip for Planning a Wedding Start early.  Get a planner.  Talk to you fiance and make sure to include him and come up with the theme and atmosphere you want to create for your day. Start with the major things first such as the venue, decorator, dress etc.  Choose your bridal party wisely, you want friends that will be supportive and make this journey an easy one for you. But most importantly enjoy it, this is going to be one of the best days of your life.
